Lana's Sheep Fur Cleaning Kit is a three-in-one solution that will best fit all your sheep fur care needs: cleaning, glazing, and odor removal. Follow our 6-step easy process for continuous maintenance and cleaning of all sheepskin fur items. Take a note that this product is designed only for the fur side of sheepskin and cannot be used on leather or suede.
Please follow these directions to make your sheep fur fabulous again:
- Take your sheep fur and shake it to remove large dirt particles. If your sheep fur is a rug (or of large size) this can be accomplished with vacuuming.
- Lay out your sheep fur and brush it with Lana's Sheep Fur Brush, removing all other dirt.
- Spray the entire fur evenly with Lana’s Sheep Fur Cleaning Solution. One spray per area. Do not soak the fur.
- Use Lana's Fur Pad to gently rub in the solution into the entire fur by wiping in the direction of the fur. If the pad becomes dirty, wash it with soap and water, dry it and continue to use it. For a fur that has been maintained, you will only need to wash the pad at the end of the cleaning. Check your Fur Pad periodically while cleaning to make sure that you aren’t just moving dirt around.
- After wiping, wait for the fur to completely dry for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. For best results, dry the fur outside in a natural breeze but not in direct sunlight.
- Once completely dry, use Lana’s Fur Brush to brush the entire coat, again in the direction of the fur.
For fur with tough stains such as makeup, lipstick, sweat stains, etc., use Lana's Instant Fur Stain Remover to treat the stain and then clean the entire coat with Lana's Fur Cleaning Solution.
Note: If you feel the fur needs more cleaning, you may repeat the process the next day.
